We will start at the Village Of Agia Effimia were we will meet and make a small brief of our trip and give some information about the bikes and get your equipment.
Start riding to the port of Sami next to the coast and pay a visit to 2 of the most well known sightseeing in Kefalonia.
Melissani lake and Drogarati cave but also to some not so well known spots.
Riding through Olive groves and Oak trees we climb in the mountain to return to Ag. Efimia passing Monasteries and old destroyed villages from the earthquake that took place in 1953 while enjoying the view of the Ionian sea from above.
We will make two stops. First Palia Vlahata a very famous traditional village to rest a bit and next stop will be at Themata Monastery which is the highest point of our ride.
From there a nice long downhill section straight to Ag. Efimia riding on asphalt.
Dinner at local restaurant after group decision.
The terrain of the trip is mixed with the biggest part being gravel-rocky dirt roads about 36-38 km total and a climb of 800+- m.
Basic cycling skills required for this tour.
